Penny Phillips is the visionary force behind Journey Strategic Wealth, and one of the few women founders leading a national Registered Investment Adviser. As Co-Founder and President, she has built a firm that not only champions advisor independence and business growth, but also prioritizes representation, inclusion, and support for women across the wealth management industry.

With over a decade of experience coaching and consulting financial advisors and institutions, Penny brings a unique blend of strategic insight, communication expertise, and practice management leadership. Before founding Journey, she launched Thrivos Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping financial advisors evolve their practices to meet the needs of a changing client base—including the rising influence of next-generation and female wealth holders.

Penny has held multiple leadership roles across financial services, where she authored training programs to empower advisors to modernize their client experience and build multigenerational firms. She is a monthly contributor to WealthManagement.com, founder of The Study Group advisor community, and a sought-after speaker at industry conferences across the U.S. and Canada.

She holds dual degrees in Economics and Corporate Finance from The Macaulay Honors College of New York and is certified in Advanced Behavioral Analysis. Born and raised in New York City, Penny is of Greek descent and speaks fluent Greek.
